Queensland Pops Orchestra: Best of British

Embracing the ‘Best of British’ music in all its richness and diversity is a perennial treat for both the Queensland Pops Orchestra and our fabulous and enthusiastic audiences… all hands on deck, everyone takes part and it’s one of the best-loved orchestral events of the Pops calendar.

The Queensland Pops Orchestra is delighted to welcome two of opera’s brightest stars: Baritone Sam Hartley and Mezzo Soprano Cassandra Seidemann. Both graduated in Queensland and joined Opera Queensland’s Young Artist Program which gave them a great launching pad for their individual soaring international careers. Joining them will be the Voices of BirraleeToowoomba Contemporary Choral and Thistle Highland Dancers.

Who could forget “Jerusalem” and “Rule Britannia” … just two of the rainbow tapestry of British musical colours to be unfurled (and remember flag waving is a given).
