BSO Season 2 - Young at Heart

In a concert which is for all those feeling “Young at Heart”, The Brisbane Symphony Orchestra brings you a concert which celebrates the excitement of youth. From the music from the movie classic, E.T., to the delightful 3rd Movement of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto no.1 performed by Bachelor of Music Student Mai-Lien Olsson, winner of the MTAQ Concerto Competition, there will be something for everyone. We welcome back to the podium, Antoni Bonnetti AM, founder of the orchestra and Conductor Laureate, who will enjoy exploring new music from the anime film, “My Neighbour Totoro”, along with film music from the past including “The Great Escape” and “Star Trek Through the Years” and the 1st Movement of Phillip Glass’ Symphony no.4 entitled “Heroes”.
